Hello, Financial Freedom Seekers! Today we talk about Investing for early retirement As a women 😎
What does minimalism have to do with the early retirement movement and stock investments?
Are you fed up with the chaos in your wallet and life? I have great news for you and will teach you a bit about it: minimalism can tidy up not just your wardrobe, but your bank account too! Let’s see together what you can achieve with the help of it!
Less stuff = More money 💰
Imagine every single item in your apartment as a little money vampire. They suck cash with maintenance, storage, and of course, because you bought them. For example: If you collect stones after you purchase them, you need to clean them, buy a vitrine, and clean them also. Ok. Maybe stones are not the best example, but let’s say you collect something. Now imagine getting rid of half of these. Boom! Instant savings and less headache! I wrote a lot about this in the Frugal Millionaire Mindset book.
Simplified budget – Overview instead of brain drain 📊
Minimalism is great for finances too. Instead of trying to track 50 different categories, focus on the essentials. Needs, wants, and savings. That’s it. Trust me, your bank account (and your nervous system) will be grateful! When I started neglecting purchases I realized the benefit of that my budget turned way different out but on a positive side!
Quality over quantity – Investment in the future 🏆
Okay, that good quality coat might be more expensive, but think about it: you’ll wear it for 5 years instead of the 5 cheap ones you’d replace annually. Long story short: You save more if you sometimes spend more. Weird, right? This is very true, and after I gonna gain back my old shape I will purchase myself a new coat also that I can wear for long long years!

Impulse purchases? No way! ❌
Minimalism teaches you not to jump on every discounted item. “But there’s a 70% discount!” – you say. Yes, but if you don’t need it, you save 100% if you don’t buy it. Let’s do smart math! I hate to hear when people say they buy it only when it is on sale, and their whole house looks like a dustbin.
One in, one out! 🛒
To keep your life tidy you need to be strict, so if you buy new clothes, you need to get rid of one old or sell it! This is a system that you can use everywhere in your household. Let’s say, you can only buy a new shampoo if your old box is empty.
More experiences, fewer objects 🌈
Minimalists know the drill: Experiences make us much happier than objects. And guess what? They’re usually cheaper too! A good conversation with friends instead of an expensive restaurant? Win-win! Or a 10-day long well-planned family holiday is even cheaper than you go to buy the newest iPhone this year. For example: We went in 2024 for a 10-day long holiday in Greece with a campervan and the fuel, roadway fees, and food were covered from 1300 Euro for two adults and a toddler. We ate almost every day in a restaurant and certainly enjoyed it better than a phone upgrade.
Clear head, clear finances 🧘♀️
Minimalism isn’t just about physical space and emptying your rooms! If you simplify your life, you’ll have more time and energy to manage your finances. And believe me, when you see things clearly, you’ll make much better decisions! You need to tailor it to your preferences: I also had fewer items without children a few years before, but your minimalism needs to be perfect for you and not for others!
Appreciate what you have 🙏
Minimalism teaches you to appreciate what you have, instead of constantly craving what you don’t. This is way less energy and you will have more peace. Maybe turning off your social media for a while until you are used to this new life is a good idea. And you know what’s the consequence of this? You spend less on unnecessary things!
So, how do you like it? Exciting, right? The good news is that you don’t have to become a hardcore minimalist to enjoy these benefits. Start small! Look around your apartment, and your bank account, then ask yourself: “Do I really need this?”
And remember: Minimalism isn’t about depriving yourself of everything. It’s about making room in your life for what really matters. Be it more savings, more free time, or simply more peace.
